I bought this case at the same time I purchased my IPad. It was highly recommended by the sales staff and although I was somewhat hesitant to purchase it, I did so anyway...now I can't imagine my IPad without this protective case. The Positives:1.)This case has a nice snug fit...initially making it a bit difficult to insert the IPad for the first time, but the good thing is, that it tends to make it almost impossible for the IPad to slip out of this case, should it be turned upside down.2.)The material used has a pleasant tacky feel (almost like a suede) making it very easy and comfortable to hold on to. The bare IPad is fairly smooth and slippery so this jacket provides just the right amount of frictional surface to allow for a secure grip whether your holding the IPad in your hands or have it on your lap.3.)The case folds back on itself so as to form a 'stand' for your IPad...so you can sit your IPad on a flat surface. The sitting angle is at 70 degrees (measured) making it easy to read a book, or use with another i-device, such as a wireless keyboard. Conclusion:A snug, well made and reasonably priced* case to protect your IPad. 5 Stars.Ray NicholsonP.S.*I believe this product is cheaper priced at the Apple Store.

I spent $43.00 (with tax) for this at a local store and after 2 days of normal use in a normal home (2 people used it), it looked horrible. I returned it. It leaves fingerprints and smudge marks all over it's velour type finish and you could tell it's nothing more to 3 thin plastic sheets covered by a thin gray outer material that been glue pressed. This should cost $6.95, and even then I'd return it because it made my iPad look like it just came out of a dirt dumpster. I know why it's selling and at such a high price, it's because of that Apple logo on it - well, it's a shame. I bet if one placed an Apple logo on a quart bottle of used restaurant grease, people would knock each other down to pay $50.00 for it. Look at other cover/stands, but watch out for this cheap, ugly one for long, strong protection of you iPad. Apple iPad - good! Apple iPad cover - bad!

After all of the hype about this case and it always being out of stock, I finally lucked out and got one of two left from one of the Apple stores here in Denver. If there had not been so much hype, I may have liked this more, but overall, I was not impressed with this case. The case is flimsy and gets dirty and scuffed up really quickly. The microfiber seems to attract and hold dirt and scuff marks. If you plan on removing your iPad from the case, which I prefer to do at times, you'll have to give it a good fight to remove it from within the case. It's incredibly difficult to do. The iPad is so beautiful and artistically crafted, I don't want to always have it all covered up inside the case, so this became a huge problem. Also, supposedly this case allows you to stand the iPad up in the optional charging cradle/dock that you can buy for the iPad, but the iPad needed about another 1/4 inch to be able to recognize that it was docked. So I was never able to get it to dock with the optional cradle while in this case - despite what they may claim at the Apple store. What I DID like about this was that it could stand up in landscape mode in two different positions and angles while in the case, which was nice. Standing up vertically was a bit wobbly and I didn't feel comfortable leaving it that way. I'm not sure it was advertised to do this, so I didn't ding the review rating for that.My goal now is to find something more durable and protecting of the iPad, which will hold the iPad at different viewing angles, and most importantly, will allow quick removal of the iPad when I want to enjoy it in all it's glory. :)
