this is really OLD technology and will leave you as unimpressed as it left me - beware of "bargains" that are not at all bargains

I bought this to use CD installations but now most of software CDs are actually DVDs.I realized this after I bought this.So check the CDs that you have and buy external DVD, not CD.In my opinion, recommend to buy external DVD, not this CD drive.

I purchased this to place Win XP back on my laptop now that it has a new HD but it is not working for that. I can not give a proper review I guess since it doesn't do what I wanted to do but it appears to work just fine. It arrives quickly and in great condition so it was a great buy. Only wish laptop would pick up the installion disk correctly
