Seems to be a tough film that I expect will last a long time. It does require some water to be applied to the screen under the guard for application. Must dry overnight before use. Mine looks good over most of the screen, but while working bubbles toward edges, I have many ripples in the film. Ripples are visual but cannot be felt with a finger tip. Manufacturing flaw perhaps? The ripples in my XTREME GUARD are thankfully around the margins so not a big deal since they aren't in the screen viewing area. I don't know if this is an installation issue(I caused it) or a manufacturing issue(it was made that way). Either way the product is fine for now since it doesn't distort the screen viewing area and if it lasts as long as promised, I shouldn't need another. Fingers crossed here!

When you buy something that is inexpensive you expect poor quality, not the case with this item. The first one I received had a defect so I sent a message using Amazon contact seller feature. The seller sent a new on out imedietly, no questions asked. I followed the directions tat came with the item and it worked as advertised.A couple notes: Follow the directions. It will at first appear that you have to much water or glue under the protector but just do what the directions say and in 24-36 hours you won't even notice the film on your device. This film is great, I put my devise in a cover that was to small leaving marks on the film but 24 hours later the marks were gone, the film stretched back to perfect. I don't know what the film is made of but it is tough. It doesn't effect the touch screen at all if you just wait the 24-36 hours for the water to dry. The negative reviews you are reading for this product are probably due to them uing their device before the water had dried.The company that sells this is good, the product is great and it is inexpensive...what else could you ask for?I used this on the viewsonic gtablet.

This is an absolute must have for gTablet owners. This screen protector is a perfect fit, easy to install, and virtually eliminates fingerprints. Many people have complained this is tough to install. I couldn't disagree more. I was a little apprehensive at first about installing a wet screen protector but this was a breeze.Place your gTab on some paper towels and get ready to go. The key to a good installation is to mix TWO SMALL drops of soap (I used regular dish soap) in a soup bowl of water and keep your fingers wet. The soap solution should feel slimey and slippery but should NOT look soapy. Make sure your fingers are good and wet BEFORE removing the screen protector backing and DO NOT be afraid to apply a generous amount of the "soap" solution to the back of the screen protector and position it on the gTab. If you applied enough "soap" solution you can easily slide the screen protector around. Get ready to squeegee. The screen protector comes with a small squeegee which works fine. You need to squeegee with even strokes from left to right. I say left to right because the right side of the gTab only has speakers and nothing else. I squeegeed from left to right and then down to the lower right corner and out. I used a paper towel to catch the "soap" solution when pushing it out. I also used the soft cloth supplied to wipe the front of the screen protector so I could check for bubbles. If you squeegee correctly you will have no bubbles. Look at an angle to see if any bubbles exist. If so, try squeegeeing again lightly with the soft cloth or lift the screen protector and apply a small amount of "soap" solution directly to the gTab screen and squeegee just the area requiring it. I did this a couple of times. You might see some very miniscule hazy looking bubbles after squeegeeing (I believe this is the glue) but don't worry these will disappear after the screen protector sets. Once you are done squeegeeing and don't see any bubbles the screen protector should still move around easily if you applied enough "soap" solution. In fact, after squeegeeing the screen protector will move and require some minor repositioning.Once you are satisfied with the position of the screen protector, set the gTab aside for at least 24 hours. Yes, put the gTab down and find something else to do. Resist the temptation. I picked mine back up about 30 hours later, cleaned it with glass cleaner, and was absolutely thrilled with the look. In fact, I couldn't even tell it was installed. I asked my son to take a look and he said he could hardly see it either. I haven't noticed any screen response degradation from the screen protector and I barely, and I really mean barely see fingerprints. This alone is a huge improvement and justifies the low cost. I once tried to install a dry screen protector on my wife's cellphone and I was so frustrated I about through the phone out the window. This screen protector is very easy to install (took me about 15 minutes) and will produce spectacular results if you use enough "soap" solution.
